PRSSA welcomed Prof. Jonas Larson to tell us his story of working as a Christian in media including his horror movie.

Larson explained that just because we are Christians doesn't mean we can only work on projects that are exclusively Christian.

He used the well-known saying of a Christian shoemaker. A Christian shoemaker does not spread the gospel by writing Jesus on all the shoes they make but rather by making really good shoes. The same applies for Christians who want to work in media.

The best way we can share the gospel is by being the best at whatever we do. This ties in Colossians 3:23 that says, "work willingly at whatever you do, as you were working for the Lord rather than people".

It is good to have Christians working in secular fields because this presents more opportunities to show the light of Jesus to a dark world.
